You may recall that I made a Thing for Halloween this past October, a compilation of video clips I put together to the grand march (ie: giant medley) I had created some years ago. Well, I’m excited to say I’ve made Another Thing, this time for Christmas! Or the holidays. I definitely prefer to think of it as a Holiday Thing, but there really isn’t much in it to do with Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, or any other specific holiday (partially because there aren’t that many holiday movies that are not about Christmas). But hopefully you all will still enjoy it. It’s not a grand march or medley of songs, but it’s a Christmas movie compilation to an awesome song. I definitely had a ton of fun putting it together, and I’m really pleased with how it came out.
Who’m I kidding!! I’m excited about it! Thrilled, even! 🙂
You may also remember, Monday I wrote a list of my Favorite Christmas Songs, which includes the song “Just for Now,” by Imogen Heap. I mentioned that I hoped to talk about that song more in the near future. Well, the near future is now!
I decided to use that song, “Just for Now,” for this video, but instead of Imogen’s awesome version, I’m using a really amazing cover by the a cappella group Pentatonix (who are incredible, so you should definitely check them out). I wanted to use it not just because it’s awesome, and for a little change, but frankly because it’s slightly longer, and I had plenty of clips I wanted to incorporate into the video.
Last week I also wrote about my Favorite Christmas Movies, and all of them (except the honorable mention, which is technically a TV show) are represented in this video. Shocker. (In fact, I realize that I own almost all of the films I used here on DVD, so I’ll have to make a better quality version of this compilation in the future.)
So here it is, my latest video compilation project, for the holidays: a Christmas movie compilation. I really enjoy making these and I look forward to doing more of them in the future (and hopefully getting faster at them too). One of these days I will do a dance compilation video too, but hopefully you’ll enjoy this one, “for now.” 😉
If you like it, please share with your family and friends, and let me know! 🙂
I wish you all the safest, most wonderful, and joyous holiday season!
Why’d you have to go and make me all verklempt? *snf*
Seriously, great work though!
Yay! Thanks. The holidays are all about The Feels, aren’t they? 🙂
What a lovely compilation. Thanks!
Thanks Colleen! So glad you liked it. 🙂
